Geshmak Bistro

It's even better than last time I visited. Excellent food. You must try it. We had potted crab and pork belly bites to start, sea bass with shrimp and clams with chips and jerk chicken with a fruity jerk sauce, slaw and rice. Delicious 😋

Highly recommended! Every aspect of Geshmak was stunning, from the attentive welcome to the delightful food and selection of drinks. We enjoyed our evening so much and can’t wait to return!

First time iv been and certainty won’t be the last I ordered the chicken Thai curry and it was absolutely delicious and my hubby had the steak . Desserts I had the cheesecake and my hubby had apple crumble .. it was all so good that I struggled half way to finish but so nice I made extra room ..this is the nicest meal we’ve both had in a long time .. the staff were so lovely and the chef came out and had a chat too . Lovely night will definitely return in the future ps that cheesecake was stunning

Absolutely loved our meal with friends last night. First time visiting & 100% recommend. Quality freshly made food. The pork belly was just melt in the mouth unreal and the mash potato something else!

Amazing little restaurant in Caerphilly. They didn't have any vegan sandwiches on the menu but the owner made us a vegan tuna sandwich with cheese and salad... Really nice and tasty. Looks like it might be part of the next menu :) We also had the vegan mushroom pate. The food is really good and the staff extremely friendly and accommodating We will definitely come back to try the other vegan options Went back for supper last evening. If someone told me that I would eat an amazing onion soup and and vegan cassoulet in Wales, I would have be laughing. And I'm very happy to be so wrong. I had last evening the best onion soup I had for a long time and an absolute amazing Vegan cassoulet. Soooo good. Thank you so much for this experience See you soon.

A gorgeous little spot owned be a previous Masterchef finalist! I don’t know how I hadn’t heard of it sooner, I think it needs more hype!! The owner was so friendly and well informed. You could tell she was passionate about the food and it showed in the cooking. We had a coeliac guest and almost all of the menu was gluten free and the owner was very clued up! There’s not many places in Newport you can get scallops and duck!! They also catered for a fussy child and made exactly what she wanted. It was superb and we’ll definitely be back, for that cheesecake if nothing else!!

Delicious food and great service. Really homely welcoming atmosphere. A very welcome addition to Newport. You can tell a lot of care and passion are put into the menu. So glad there’s a place like this in Newport! The scallops for starter were amazing. The chef said there’s quite a lot of alternating on the menu so I’m looking forward to lots of new options to try. A must try.
